DeMichele & DeMichele is pleased to announce that firm shareholder attorney and municipal court practitioner Rick DeMichele was appointed as municipal prosecutor for the Borough of Haddon Heights beginning in January 2016. haddon heights“Haddon Heights is a second home for me since that’s where our office is located,” said DeMichele, who co-founded DeMichele & DeMichele in 1996. “Consequently, our firm has a unique stake in working towards the safety and security of the Haddon Heights community. I’m thrilled for the opportunity to do that as the new municipal prosecutor for the Borough.” Settled in 1699, 7,500-resident Haddon Heights was later incorporated as a railroad suburb that thrives today as a community of tree-lined streets and historic homes. Haddon Heights’s Municipal Court convenes every second Tuesday of the month at 9:00 a.m. and the fourth Tuesday, too, at 1:00 p.m. The duties of a municipal prosecutor include prosecuting matters ranging from routine traffic violations and DWI/DUI offenses to simple assaults and drug-related crimes on behalf of the state. A resident of neighboring Haddonfield and a former solicitor for Haddon Heights, Mr. DeMichele is a seasoned litigator who devotes a substantial part of his practice to family law and personal injury matters; he also currently serves as Municipal Prosecutor of Mullica Township in Atlantic County and Lawnside which is also located in Camden County.  When he isn’t prosecuting or serving his South Jersey diverse client base, Mr. DeMichele is a national, state and local bar association leader. He has served as a delegate to the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates and a trustee of the New Jersey State bar Association. In addition, Mr. DeMichele previously served as a President of the Camden County Bar Foundation and the Camden County Bar Association. Mr. DeMichele is admitted to practice in every state court in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey as well as the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
