Divorce is never a pleasant experience. Even uncontested divorces are filled with emotion and sorrow.  The typical process of going through a divorce comes with animosity, fighting, arguments, and a myriad of emotions.  For many, the pain of a divorce can be minimized if the parties can agree on the terms and get through the process quickly.  Dealing with the emotions and focusing on the economics of the divorce is essential to an amicable divorce agreement and an uncontested divorce. You may think that because your divorce is amicable and uncontested that you do not really need help form DeMichele & DeMichele to handle your divorce in New Jersey.  However, the most important step in any resolved divorce is reducing the terms to writing. Just because you and your spouse have come to an agreement as to the terms of your divorce, do not rely on your understanding of the agreement. Get it in writing!  This way both parties now exactly what the terms are and the agreement is not subject to memory or a changing attitude of your spouse. The lawyers at DeMichele & DeMichele have helped hundreds of people divorcing in New Jersey.  We regularly help clients not only reduce their divorce agreements to writing but also help them make sure the agreement is complete. Many times unrepresented people will come to an agreement that will detail who gets what property but, unfortunately, their agreement will be silent on who pays for the college costs of the children or how a pension will be divided at retirement.  We regularly help clients get complete marital settlement agreements.  Having a detailed and complete marital settlement agreement is the most effective way to avoid future problems and future trips to court. After the marital settlement agreement is reduced to writing and signed by both spouses the agreement needs to be incorporated into a final judgment of divorce.  In New Jersey, this requires one spouse to file a complaint in divorce. Once the complaint is filed and served an uncontested hearing is scheduled and the divorce is finalized.  The lawyers at DeMichele and DeMichele regularly help clients with the preparation of the divorce complaint, service of process, drafting the final judgment of divorce, and appearing in court to finalize the divorce. We regularly represent New Jersey residents who want a divorce in Camden, Mercer, Gloucester, Burlington, Cumberland, Atlantic, and Salem counties. In many cases we can offer flat fees for  me a clients who need help with reviewing or drafting a property settlement agreement.  We also offer flat fees filing complaints in many uncontested cases.  For more information about NJ divorce, New Jersey property seettlemnt agreements, uncontested divorce, or other family law matters, please contact us or call (856) 546-1350 for a confidential consultation.
